Vessel Performance Manager

Vessel Performance Solutions is looking for a Vessel Performance Manager or Analyst to help us support our expanding client base and develop the vessel and fleet performance system of the future.
Vessel Performance Solutions is delivering performance management service analysis for international shipping companies. At the same time we are developing our analysis and decision support capabilities at a rapid pace. We are looking for a candidate that can participate in further developing our platform VESPER for analysis of performance data as well as support to our clients with decision support related to optimizing the operation of their fleet. Using our in-house developed analysis tools, you will evaluate performance trends across the client’s fleet and turn operational data into valuable decision support. In our ShippingLab project together with partners, we are conducting frontline research and development to improve our modeling capabilities so you will be challenged on your understanding of ships behavior at sea as well as your capability to transform advanced mathematical models into value adding software.
The preferred candidate has a background as an engineer and is familiar with one or several of the following topics:
Ship Hydrodynamics (Propulsion, Sea keeping, Maneuvering)
Performance Management and/or Analysis
Profound knowledge from inside a shipping company (operations/technical)
Data Analysis/Data Mining/System Identification
Programming (.Net, Phyton)
Advanced Excel Analytics
We expect that you are highly motivated and able to work independently. You should have good communication skills, be proficient in English (speaking Danish is not a requirement), result orientated and a strong team player.
From our office in Lyngby, Denmark you will be part of a highly specialized team of experts with significant experience within development and operation of a performance management service (1000+ vessels). We have an informal work environment and focus on continuous personal development and knowledge sharing. We offer a Danish contract on terms with a competitive salary and influence on job content.
